Mantel turns your family archive into a heritage-grade hardcover photo book — printed on Mohawk paper and shipped to your door.

The photographs are already in your archive. The book is what those photographs become when they need to live on a shelf, in a child’s hands, at a funeral, at a reunion.

How it works

From archive to bookshelf, in three steps

  1. I.

    Pick the photographs

    Choose from the images you’ve already added to your archive. The picker shows your two hundred most recent photographs in the order you tap them.

  2. II.

    Arrange and caption

    One photograph per page. Reorder freely. Edit each caption — we propose one from your archive’s transcription, you decide what stays.

  3. III.

    Order and ship

    We print, bind, and ship your book. Confirmation by email, tracking when it’s on its way, and the book itself in ten to fourteen days.

  2. Books are printed and shipped from a Prodigi production house. Mantel does not store payment information; checkout runs through Stripe.

  4. Mantel members can begin a book at any time from their archive. There is no membership upgrade required.
